Oak Hill residents:
1. A red fox has been roaming Howland Road the last week or so. Today, a resident wrote the fox is mostly "walking through the woods and last night he was just walking down the sidewalk very confident. So just a heads up to the area, don't see them around too often."
2. This Sat and Sunday: self-guided tour of 40 historic sites in Monmouth County.
Nine sites are in Middletown and Holmdel.
Admission is free, and open 10 to 5PM on Sat, May 5 and noon to 5PM on Sunday, May 6.

This coming weekend, May 5-6, is the Monmouth County Historical Commission's annual self-guided tour A Weekend in Old Monmouth, surely of interest to the Middletown list. See the link for access to an on-line tour booklet and map, plan your first stop and pick-up a hard copy there. Note the several sites in Middletown Township about which residents have told me in the past "I have long-intended to visit but took the opportunity when available on the tour."
Please feel free to share this message with your historically minded friends or anyone with the slightest interest in what makes Monmouth County great.
Randy
